Pregnancy and life with a newborn brings about many changes in a woman's life. It can be exhilarating, scary or joyful. Share these experiences with others.

Chat rooms and chat forums provide a platform for pregnant women and women with babies to support each other. It allows users to chat to each other about the same topic or to post queries and comments. Chat forums, on the other hand, allow you to post pictures, upload files and it is based on a bulletin board system.

When a woman learns that she is pregnant, there are many questions going through her mind. She faces new challenges and a chat room or forum gives her the opportunity to share these fears and ideas.

The same goes for new moms who recently gave birth. Becoming a mother brings about a big transition in your life. Everything changes and the new member of your family can wreak havoc on your mood.

Discuss Pregnancy and Child Birth

Chat rooms and chat forums give you platform to discuss issues like child birth, post-natal care and newborns. A username is most often used and therefore you never have to reveal your real identity. This gives you the opportunity and the courage to discuss pressing or sometimes embarrassing questions about child birth, post natal care and caring for a newborn, without fear of anyone identifying you.

Subjects include post-natal depression, caring for an episiotomy, sex after giving birth, dealing with a colicky baby, as well as sleeping patterns of a newborn, burping a newborn, whether the circumcise your son or not and many more.

Working and Stay at Home Moms

By joining a chat room or chat forum, you also converse with people going through the same thing, making it a shared journey. Stay at home moms are connected to other mothers and feel less lonely and isolated. Working mothers realise that other women are going through the same thing and can therefore support each other. Sometimes these women end up becoming very close and valuable friendships are formed.

It should be kept in mind that the advice on these chat rooms and chat forums should at no time be taken without consulting your doctor or gynecologist first.

Chat Rooms are Free

Most chat rooms and forums are for free. These include the websites www.pampers.com and www.babycentre.co.uk. There are hundreds of chat rooms and forums available.

Whether you are trying to conceive, receiving fertility treatment, are currently pregnant or just had a baby, there are other people going through the same thing as you. You just have to find the right fit for you. Join a chat room or forum, get to know other people struggling with the same issues and experiencing the same joys. It just makes it so much easier!
