Pregnant teens and teenage moms can look to the internet for help, advice and exchange. This article lists some appropriate websites.

While being almost the norm in most developing countries, teenage pregnancy is considered as a huge challenge in industrialized countries. In the latter, early motherhood is associated with several risks for both mother and child. Teenage mothers may face many problems such as complications during pregnancy or birth, lack of education, financial problems, dependence on welfare or low paid jobs, being a single mom or alienation from their own family and peers.

The Options: Keeping the Child, Adoption or Abortion

However, the biggest pressure on young pregnant women is to come to a decision about the unborn child, considering the options of keeping the child, adoption and abortion. At an age where most other teens worry about what clothes to wear or how to spend the weekend, teenage mothers are faced with enormously challenging situations, often without a proper support network of family and friends.
