Here's the scoop on trendy baby names for boys. If you're looking for a more uncommon name, these are the ones to avoid.
Over the last few decades, popular baby boy name trends have changed. In days past, a small number of popular names dotted the popularity charts. Now, although old standards like Matthew, Michael, and Christopher are still very popular, there just seems to be more baby boy names to choose from, including classic Biblical names like Jacob and Caleb. Creating different spellings doesn't make these names less trendy either. Cayden and Kaden are just as trendy as Caden. Here's the most popular ADEN names:
2) The "last name as first name" trend. This idea isn't new, but it's become a hot trend in recent years. Here are the names that stick out as most trendy.
3) The "cowboy" name trend. Manly names that have kind of a "Wild West" feel are climbing the Top 100 baby names list as well. This trend overlaps sometimes with the last-name-as-first trend in names like Hunter and Mason. Here's some trendy cowboy names.
4) The "metrosexual" name trend. This is kind of the opposite of the cowboy name, and also overlaps with the last-name-as-first-name trend. These names evoke an image of a sophisticated, sensitive city dweller who knows how to use hair products. Some trendy metrosexual names:
