Thank you for some great insights. I just wonder about the non-green tea; does it also have a lower amount of caffeine? Each morning I have a small tea at McDonald's as I read the morning papers. I do this because I feel more tense and jumpy if I have coffee rather than tea.

You need to check the type of tea you are drinking at McDonalds. Black tea generally has a small amount of caffeine but not as much as coffee typically does. Herbal teas or teas that are labelled "decaf" obviously have no caffeine. A lot of people seem to react to larger amounts of caffeine as you describe. Good that you stick to tea then!
