» JessicaLaKay2260 - baby too big?

Hey! I was just wondering how to decide on c-section or try vaginal birth. Im 16 years old and 5 ft. Short! I weighed 100 lbs before i became pregnant and now I weigh 138! Ive been in premature labor and finally I have made it to 39 weeks. However when i was 35 weeks my baby done weighed 6 lbs. And he is long! When we had an ultrasound done just for fun the lady said she didnt think i would be able to have him. So now a c-section is brought into picture. I rather have a vaginal birth but i dont want to take risk of my baby being stressed coming out or having to hurry to c-section. WHat do I do?

Just remember that ultrasound is not an accurate way to measure a baby. The only way to know if the baby is too big to be born vaginally is to go into labor (preferably on your own without having an induction.)

Remember that ultrasound is based on averages so it is not an exact measurement of the baby's size.

Did your doctor tell you that the baby was too big?
