» MEG5150 - I may be pregnant

As I sipped my morning cup of coffee, I realized I was repulsed by the bitter taste it was leaving in my mouth. This is odd because I'm a total caffeine junkie and have actually been working on cutting down. Then I started thinking how the chicken salad I was going to eat yesterday afternoon tasted awful, and how the garlic taste was magnified on the chicken I ate later on. I think I may be pregnant, my period is due on 7/2, so it's too early to test. But I'm a bit worried because I had a glass a of wine about two weeks ago and 2 glasses last night. I have been drinking two cups of coffee consistently since my last period.

Assuming I am pregnant. How much risk have I placed on the baby?

I think many women would admit to being in your shoes when they are not sure they are pregnant and possibly did not know for weeks.

In the event that you are pregnant, be extra cautious to avoid all alcohol from this point and caffeine primarily in the first trimester. Here is more information on the caffeine and alchohol:

Remember that babies are quite resilient and the likelihood that you have actually done any harm to your baby (should you in fact be pregnant) is very very unlikely.
