Hi Jcobsmommy,

I, too, had a very quick labor - though not quite 2 hours, more like 5, with only 2 being at the hospital. I was 10 days early, there was no time for drugs and the nurse was preparing to deliver me when the doctor whisked in at the last moment to catch the baby. As with you, it was very intense for me, but in retrospect I feel quite blessed because I wasn't exhausted as so many of my girlfriends were starting mommyhood. I am now 3 months in with bean #2 and my doctor has told me to prepare for a potentially even quicker labor. She said if I am at all dilated after 37 weeks that she will send me to the hospital to break my water. I guess all we can do is prepare for a fast one (luckily we live 3 blocks from the hospital) and hope to god there's enough time for a little bit of drugs ;)
