» janelle4412 - Weight Loss after C-section

I had an emergency c-section 2 weeks ago. I was in labour for over 10 hours and then the cord got wrapped around bub's ankle and her heart rate was plummeting so off I went for a C section. I really wanted to have a natural birth and I am quite disappointed. I am wondering whether my being enduced brought it on? I am also wondering about weight loss.... Will I lose that overhang of skin? Or will it stay there? Any input would be great? How can I lose this weight?

Inductions do lead to a higher chance of cesarean.

In terms of weight loss, I am not a fan of diets. Eating healthy foods and getting exercise are your best bet. Here are two articles that can help happy

If you are breastfeeding, you also use up 500 calories per day so there is some weight loss potential as well!

Your skin is elastic so it will shrink up a bit from what it looks like now. Remember it was stretched quite a bit during pregnancy so most moms do have a little area where there tummies are not completely flat anymore - you can tell on the beach who has had children!!
